Use of the salt chambers at Lafayette Salt Cave has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration or any other agency. The use of the salt rooms is not intended to treat, cure, heal or prevent any illness or condition. All medical conditions should be treated by a physician competent in treating that condition. Lafayette Salt Cave, LLC takes no responsibility for customers choosing to treat themselves. All products and services provided by Lafayette Salt Cave, LLC, including written information, labels, brochures, and flyers as well as information provided orally or in any other medium of communication, have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. For all your health concerns, please consult an appropriately licensed healthcare practitioner. The therapy provided in Lafayette Salt Cave’s custom-built salt room is called Speleotherapy (treatment in a natural salt cave) or Halotherapy (treatment in a simulated salt environment). The single-person salt infrared sauna booth provides infrared halotherapy.  

 

Possible side effects & Recommendations and Solutions

 

1. Dry throat and increased coughing, in the beginning, This is a natural part of the cleaning process of the respiratory system, during which the pollution, accumulated through a long time, and now loosened up by salt, are expelled from even the deepest regions of the lungs. Such side effects should cease with the removal of pollution and pathogens.

 

2. Skin irritation and increased dermal sensitivity may also occur. Decrease the frequency of salt therapy sessions.

 

3. Thirst and slight irritation of the eyes. After and prior use of the salt rooms, consume sufficient liquids to prevent dehydration. It's recommended to take 5 minutes prior to leaving the premises to consume sufficient liquids to prevent dehydration and lightheadedness before operating a motor vehicle.

 

4. Infrared therapy heats with dry infrared panels in a sauna-style booth with pure Himalayan salt crystals large enough to provide an intense, short, hot, halotherapy session. (you will sweat) UV light and ionizer purification after each use.  

 

Halotherapy is not recommended in the following cases:

 

Tuberculosis, Fever, Acute inflammatory diseases, contagious condition, Severe Heart Disorders. Although halotherapy is considered as a supplemental and/or elective treatment, the use of the salt room is not intended to substitute for medical care or treatment. Do not stop your medication without first consulting with your doctor. The salt therapy does NOT substitute any conventional medication. The information contained herein is not intended to cover all possible uses, directions, precautions, warnings, drug interactions, allergic reactions, or adverse effects. THIS PROTECTION COVERS CLAIMS BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, AND ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. THIS PROTECTION COVERS LAFAYETTE SALT CAVE LLC, ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, AND SUPPLIERS. THIS PROTECTION COVERS ALL LOSSES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT OR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, AND PUNITIVE DAMAGES, PERSONAL INJURY/WRONGFUL DEATH, LOST PROFITS, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THE SALT ROOMS. PRINT NAME AND DATE BELOW TO INDICATE THAT YOU HAVE READ, FULLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THE ABOVE STATEMENTS.
